Q) What is included in the price?
A) Within your price you pay to Backpacking Escorted, you’ll get an experienced travel escort to accompany you and the rest of the group around our pre-organised itinerary of locations and activities. Your guide will remain with the group along the trip, ensuring you have a stress free adventure whilst using their knowledge and experience of travel. Full accommodation and travel is also included in the final price.

Q) What is included within the none returnable deposit?
A) This is to secure your position in a group and to allow the booking of hostels and activities on your behalf. The deposit for any bookings within the itinerary will be accounted for within the deposit taken from us.


Q) Where do we stay?
A) Mostly we use well selected hostels, where our guides have often stayed many times before. Usually in the hostels we book, we can secure private dorms for the group, which change in size and can be of mixed gender. Other times we may stay in hotels. It can depend a lot on price and location.


Q) How do we travel between places?
A) Keeping the authentic backpacker theme, we travel mainly by public transport. But don’t worry, this is all organised by the escort for your group.


Q) Do I need a Backpack?
A) Well, the name Backpacking Escorted would suggest that. But in fact you can carry your belongings in anything you want. Although we can strongly advise that there are serious advantages to using backpacks when travelling by most of our preferred methods.


Q) Is a lot of walking involved on the trips?
A) This really depends on the type of trip your going on. Look out for the special instructions noted on the bottom of any itinerary.
